It is a 45 over per side match and the teams will be playing for the first time.
It is envisaged that the game will become an annual event with The Axelby-Miers Cup as the prize in honour of two stalwarts of both clubs.
Next year it will be contested in Canberra.
Tuross Men’s Shed is kindly organising lunch.
The ACT team is competing in the National Championships in Victoria in November as part of Australian selection and this will be used as a practice match.
A few are returning from overseas tours with state and national sides to England and South Africa.
The Eurobodalla players are in their late 40s and early 50s with some sprinkling of youth. It is hoped that this will create interest among local senior cricketers who still have a passion for the game to sign up.
In the near future it is hoped that a team will be formed to compete against other regions.
Over 60s cricket is open to men in their late 50s and provides exercise, grand company and a chance to play for your state in future carnivals, your country or just to play the great game.
Spectators are most welcome. Bring a picket blanket and watch an entertaining day's cricket.
