The annual competition is on from February 20-22 with anglers targeting flathead in Narooma’s stunning Wagonga Inlet on the Far South Coast of NSW.
This is strictly a catch-and-release competition with anglers taking photos of their fish on a brag mat before releasing the fish.
Entry is $110 per person in each team
Your entry fee includes:
* Entry in the 2015 Flathead challenge
* 2015 Flathead challenge shirt
* Tournament bag with lots of goodies
* A chance to catch the $500 tagged Flattie
* Free BBQ on opening night.
All entries must be in by January 23, 2015 to be guaranteed a comp shirt.
Entry fees and forms must be sent to PO Box 340 Narooma NSW 2546 (fees must be in the form of a cheque or money order made out to O’Briens Hotel)
Competition schedule
Friday: Teams meet at 6pm at competition HQ (O’Brien’s Hotel on the new deck!) for an informal competition briefing and to receive shirts and brag mats followed by a few social drinks and a free BBQ.
Saturday: Teams will meet at 7am at Ocean Hut Compleat Angler Narooma to receive their day one key tag and starting position. All teams must then be in the water and assembled in the designated marshalling area by the official start time of 8am.
Teams must return their key tags by 3pm to comp officials to avoid any time penalties, and then it’s back to competition HQ at 5.30pm for photo presentation and adjudication by officials followed by social drinks and a lot of tall stories!
Sunday: Teams will meet at 7am at Complete Angler Narooma to receive their day one key tag and starting position.
All teams must then be in the water and assembled in the designated marshalling area by the official start time of 8am.
Teams must return their key tags by 3pm to comp officials to avoid any time penalties, then it’s back to competition HQ at 4pm for photo presentation and adjudication by officials followed by the winners presentation for all categories.
