Some were surprised to see a golf hole installed in one corner of the green but this was for the putting contest which was won by Marty Turner, with his impressive long range putting defeating a classy field of opponents.
Moving inside after the bowls, which, by the way, no-one won (imagine sorting that out!!), the auction attracted lots of spirited biding with some great items available. The Mega Raffle which followed offered well over fifty prizes and most people were able to gome with something.
The Deviates would like to thank Club Narooma for allowing the Bowls Day to be held. They sure had a busy weekend and it shows what a great role they play in our community
Also to be thanked are the many many sponsors who donated prizes for the day. They are called upon often to support days like this but always do their best. A full list of all sponsors will be in next week’s paper.
Lastly a big thank you to all our bowlers and supporters for making the day one of the best ever!
