Organised as it is every year by the Narooma Plaza shopping centre, the call was made to move the event indoors into the Narooma Sport and Leisure Centre.
Coordinator Mark Anderson from the Plaza checked the weather radar on his phone and the approaching storm meant he didn’t have to think long before deciding to move it indoors.
Santa arrived on the back of a Rural Fire Service fire engine as the rain began to fall.
Recheal Daley gave the Welcome to Country while the music was coordinated by Shanna Provost and Graham Osbourne.
There were appearances by Narooma Community Choir and the Dalmeny Wahinis, while the youngsters from Narooma Preschool and Narooma Public School also took to the stage.
Mayor Lindsay Brown wished everyone a merry and safe Christmas and thanked all the volunteers around the district.
