The sultry singer and her eight-piece band accompanied by Don Hopkins on keyboards belted out the Christmas-themed tunes in the theatre was decked out with tinsel and decorations with classic Christmas cartoons also playing on screen.
And there is more great live music coming to the Kinema next year thanks to Fiona Brown of Slightly Twisted Productions and her partner Tim Burke.
Tim Burke took the stage dressed as Santa and thanked all the supporters of the gig, including John and Jeanette Griffiths from the Kinema, and urged everyone to support the arts in Narooma.
They plan several more shows at the Kinema in 2015 including a live Valentine's Day show about the women of early rock and roll on February 14.
Then there is Dom Turner of the Backsliders with USA legendary harmonica player Phil Wiggins with a special show “A night of acoustic blues” on March 21.
Then May 23, they have Johnny G and the E-Types back in Narooma with the eight piece Memphis Soul Revue.
Singer Cass Eager said the old movie theatre was a wonderful venue filled with a spirit of its own and she always looked forward to coming back to Narooma.
Also having a blast at the Kinema show on Saturday night was the crew from the Quarterdeck Marina which itself will host a whole “Summer of Music” starting with indie rocker Steve Smyth on Sunday, January 4.
Then on Saturday, January 10 there will be the blues and ballads of Dr. Don’s Double Dose featuring Don Hopkins who was on stage with Cass Eager last week.
Next, the Backsliders are back in Narooma after appearing at the Narooma Blues Festival and will be at the Quarterdeck on Friday, January 16.
The summer of music continues with The Blues Preachers on Saturday, January 16 and wraps up with the “bad-ass blues” of Johnny Cass and Sweet Lil Rider on Saturday, January 31.
