We truly have a lot to be grateful for living in this beautiful and peaceful part of the world.
Russell, who got clobbered by a tree branch, perhaps summed it up best on today’s front page – yes mate we are indeed “so wonderfully lucky to live in a country where people want to help.”
The traffic and queues are something we all learn to live with at this time of year keeping in mind that the visitors are the ones keeping many local businesses afloat.
So be nice and as the council suggest brush up on your customer service and help out a tourist with a smile wherever you can.
We all may have our differences when it comes to things like council rates, planning issues and various local regulations and rules, but at least we are not blowing each other up or having to go without daily necessities.

We have a lot to look forward to in 2015 starting with the Narooma Cup next Monday and hopefully we continue to have a bumper tourism season with visitors coming to our Nature Coast!
