But don’t worry they were very friendly, eager to learn and their swords made of balloons.
It was all about the “Tales and Treasure” holiday workshops and the Narooma Library fun was led by “Pirate Del” otherwise known as Adele Morrison.
There was a treasure hunt, balloon twisting and a reading of the book “How I became a pirate”.
Adele has just moved to Narooma from Melbourne and has actually been reading stories to groups of kids for more than 10 years, and while this was her first story reading at Narooma, she has entertained kids at the Moruya markets recently.
If you're looking for more holiday fun for the kids, come and join in the Creative Collages - a daily craft activity using recycled materials to create a masterpiece.
Creative Collages will be at Moruya, Batemans Bay and Narooma Libraries during opening hours every day from now until January 23.
After the holidays, story time at the Narooma Library is every Thursday during the school term at 10.30am.
