Members of the Blue Water Dragons had attended the Dalmeny Deviates Bowls Day in October last year at Club Narooma.
“The bowls day was a really fun event last year, as many of our members as possible try to attend this event to support the Dalmeny Deviates raise funds for local charities and projects,” Blue Water Dragons president Leck Swadling said.
“Receiving a donation ourselves is greatly appreciated.”
Representatives from the Dalmeny Deviates were keen to have a look inside the Dragon boat shed at its picturesque location on the Wagonga Inlet next to the Quarterdeck Restaurant. The men have been invited to experience paddling for themselves in the near future. A common misconception is that dragon boating is a women’s sport but this is far from the truth with most clubs around Australia and the world being comprised of large numbers of men.
To all you men out there, if you would like to try dragon boating but thought it was for women only you are welcome to come along to one of our Saturday morning paddles. See you at the shed at 8.30am. If you would like to find out more about the Blue Water Dragons ring 0477 610 953 or email narooma.bwd@gmail.com
