On Saturday, February 7, family and friends of Neilma will meet at the Four Winds Windsong Pavilion at Barragga Bay for a national literary event, with music, “Four Winds: Four Writers”.
Fresh insights into Neilma’s career and readings from her latest book My Travelling Life will be presented by her son Carrillo Gantner AO, Four Winds Festival MC.
You are invited to come along, share these personal perspectives, and be part of conversations led by Margaret Throsby with fellow authors Rodney Hall, Nicholas Jose and Hannie Rayson.
Four Winds: Four Writers will be a literary feast as these three Australian writers also present extracts from their latest works. Nicholas Jose will share Bapo, his new collection of short stories and Hannie Rayson will perform a piece from Hello, Beautiful! Scenes from a Life, a memoir.
Rodney Hall, former Four Winds Artistic Director and previous resident of the Bermagui area, will read from Popeye Never Told You: Childhood Memories of the War.
Don’t miss your opportunity to be part of literary history in the making when Nicholas Jose launches Neilma’s latest book My Travelling Life, a collection of pieces and extracts from her personal journals.
Chat with the authors over a glass wine, purchase autographed copies of their books, and be transported to other worlds through the conversations and classic jazz piano interludes, performed by Robert Boughen.
Four Winds: Four Writers will take place in the glorious indoor Windsong Pavilion at the Four Winds festival site, located 10klms south of Bermagui on the Tathra Road.
