Festival parade co-ordinator Sarah Fisse said the theme for the parade of 2015 would be “Too Good To Waste.”
“It is all about reusing recyclable materials with the aim being to educate and to help reduce the carbon footprint for the festival and so waterways can be kept clean for our yummy oysters,” she said.
There will be three prizes for the best in the parade with first prize $450, second prize $250 and third prize $150.
The best in the parade will be judged on materials used, innovative designs and crowd applause.
“You will be asked on stage to introduce yourself and answer a few questions.”
The festival committee welcomes everyone to be involved from local businesses, schools, community groups, sports groups, families, individuals - anyone and everyone.
There are four sections of the parade that each group/individual can enter in:
-Mad Hatters
-Wearable Recyclable Art
-Street Performance (music, costumes and props).
-Puppetry
No vehicles of any kind, as it is strictly a foot parade only.
You can pick up information booklets and registration forms from the Narooma Visitor Centre or email organiser Sarah Fisse on sarahfisse@gmail.com and she can send you a PDF file.
Entries close April 11 at 5pm
