Then they trolled up a few kings and dollies on the north end.

John from Oberon caught his first legal kings for the season and senior citizen Jim from Gundaroo landed his first ever legal king.

“Today the legal fish were caught on squid, with lures and live baits only catching undersize - every day is different!?”

Scott Bradley at Bermagui Bait & Tackle meanwhile reported on his Facebook on Wednesday that there were a few marlin around.

“Starting to get about now given a solid improvement in the SST off these waters. Crusty went 6.4.2 and was a little unlucky not to have ended up with 4.

“A few boats caught them. Despite Stickface getting a nice Striped at the Bait Hole most activity was between 36'13 up to 36'08.

“Mind you most boats were up that way to. Weather looks good for the next couple of days. The fish have basically been thin in the water over the past week but conditions are returning to their favour.”

Back at Narooma, Marty Richardson, regular South Coast visitor, hooked a 39 cm flounder on a 100mm Pumpkin Seed Gulp on Wednesday.  Must be close to a local record?
