He is correct in saying men are often not willing to talk about health or even go for tests. But his experience shows how important it is to be upfront and open.
We wish him well in his recovery and hope he can again be back on deck for all the important council issues facing the shire.
Meanwhile, it was a treat to see Archie Roach and Shellie Morris perform at Wallaga Lake. The community really did seem inspired and it was great to see something so positive out at the Koori village.
There will be more inspiring performances at the Wallaga Lake Koori village with the presentation of the “Grow the Music” project concert this Friday evening.
Entry is free and it should be well worth heading to the community hall for the concert at 6.30pm.
Finally well done to everyone, young and old, who participated in Clean Up Australia Day and we are fortunate that litter is not a huge issue in the district.
It would be even less of problem if and when the container deposit scheme is ever introduced and having lived in South Australia to see the benefits, this can’t happen soon enough!
