On Saturday, March 28, the CRABS are staging their fourth annual bike show on the Bermagui Foreshore Reserve, Main Street Bermagui, right opposite the Bermagui shopping strip.
The bike show is the key annual fundraiser for CRABS who in less than five years have raised more than $200,000 for cancer research and to assist individuals affected by cancer and their families.
CRABS president Mike Power said that the day would cater for everyone. “The day will be an enjoyable day for everyone- we are sure that there will be lots of fun for families and motorbike enthusiasts. We had fantastic feedback from last year’s event and every year the event gets better and better”.
For the enthusiasts, there will be numerous categories for owners to show off their precious metal. Great prizes totalling $1,250 will be given for the best in show; best custom bike; people’s choice; best British; best Japanese; best American; best Euro; best bagger/dresser; best chopper; best trike; best rat bike; best bobber; best overall paint; best old bike pre-1960; best old bike 1960-1985; best side car/outfit; and best lady rider; best scooter or bike under 250cc. In all, eighteen classes catering for a wide range of enthusiasts. There will also be a range of the stalls carrying motorcycle related accessories and clothing.
A highlight of the day will also be the draw of the raffle for a brand new Stacer boat and trailer with 30hp Mercury outboard, safety and fishing gear.
“This day is about families too. We are a community organisation and this is a great opportunity for families to enjoy a special event in the magnificent beachside setting provided by scenic Bermagui. There will be plenty of activities for kids as well as food and drink stalls,” Mike Power said.
The cost of entry to the show is being kept low to encourage everyone to come along. Entry is $10 for adults, $5 to enter a bike and kids under 12 are FREE.
As with all CRABS activities, every cent raised on the day will be going to Cancer Council NSW and CAN Assist.
