These students include Georgia Pendergast in the 13 years girls who has qualified for seven events. She won all of the 50m, 100m and 200m freestyle, 200m individual medley, and 100m breaststroke, plus finishing second in the 100m butterfly and 100m backstroke at the South Coast Regional Swimming carnival in Dapto. Georgia’s outstanding performances at the regional carnival also resulted in her winning the 13 years girls age champion.
Dylan Tunks in the 16yrs boys has qualified for the 100m breaststroke, after placing first in this event at Dapto. The 14 years girls relay team of Cecilia Colom-Davis, Megan Rutherford, Kim Ellison and Georgia Pendergast came first in an extremely tight finish with Georgia storming home to win by a fingernail.
Congratulations to all Narooma High school swimmers who swam at Dapto, there were many personal bests swum at this carnival. We would like to wish our state swimmers the best of luck in Sydney over the next three days. We look forward to hearing of some great results.
