A highlight at the end of the show was local Narooma artist Greg Watts presenting Quarterdeck Chris Scroggy with a Ford hubcap guitar from Vintage Hub Cap Guitars to say thanks from the community for a summer of live music in Narooma.
“The bespoke hubcap guitar was presented in appreciation of the live music and sublime food he supplied all through the latest ‘Summer of Music’. He is a legend, and we are so fortunate.”
It was one of the hubcap guitars similar to the ones that Greg Watts entered into the Montague Arts and Crafts Society Easter Exhibition, winning the 3D section.
The three in the exhibition were a Holden and a Chev hubcap and what looks like a metal tea tray.
And the gift was very fitting for Quarterdeck Chris because as everyone knows he drives a classic 1965 F100 Ford pick-up truck.
His new guitar will take pride of place in the restaurant.
