Numbers were up significantly awith the crowd stretching out along the foreshore and car parks at the Bermagui War Memorial.
A special touch this year was the Bermagui Surf Life Saving Club surfboats out on Horseshoe Bay with sweeps Rob Shaw and Warren Marshall directing the rowers to lift their oars out of the water as piper Jesse Hardy played at the service.
The Bermagui RSL sub-branch had a planned a larger landing of vessels on the beach but this plan was abandoned due to the complexities.
Regular participants the Bemboka 7th Lighthorse troop, trooper Isaac Reid, Sergeant Chris Reid, Trooper Stuart Hull and Corporal Craig Cowgill, trooped down the hill and fell into formation next to the Lone Pine.
The dawn service also saw the first use of the new recycled plastic benches installed by the Bermagui RSL sub-branch.
And of course the traditional Gunfire Stew breakfast was served at the Bermagui Country Club after the dawn service.
The Bermagui dawn service was also the start of the epic Westpac Life Saver Heli400 Bega to Bondi event with the kayakers starting their journey down on the Horseshoe Bay Beach after the service.
