It was also a chance to see the amazing and comprehensive Tilba Anzac display in the Big Hall, which could take hours to fully take in.
This was the second year that the Tilba community group consisting of history buffs had put together an Anzac display, which remains open until 4pm Sunday.
Piper Peter McIntosh led the parade of Tilba school children, veterans and family of veterans from The Dromedary Hotel down Bate Street to ceremony area in front of Bates Store.
The Rev. David Oliphant spoke about how Anzac Day had becoming increasingly important after a low point in the early 1970s, and he sung an Eric Bogle song slightly modified to account for this change.
After the service, the community retired to the Small Hall for plates of Anzac biscuits baked by local community members.
