A HAILSTORM hit the Bodalla area north of Narooma this afternoon with hailstones close to the size of cricket balls and blanketing streets and gardens in white.

And it seems Sydney just recovering from the latest East Coast Low was also hammered by hail on Saturday.
Mary Moore posted a photo of the road between Dalmeny and Bodalla when the severe thunderstorm hit around 4.35pm.
Robyn McGrath posted a pic comparing the hail to cricket and golf balls, although that was after "they had melted a bit".
Kerrie Obst wonders how did they measure hailstones before the game of golf was invented?
