The AAL fought a high scoring match at home versus Moruya ending in a 4-5 defeat. Well played ladies.
The U13s travelled to Cobargo's verdant pastures anxious about the absence of injured players, however there was no need for concern as the team enjoyed a second win for the season. Congratulations to Ethan Anderson, coach Chris Westoll's NSSC Player of the Match for a great game, controlling the midfield and scoring four goals.
The Narooma/Bodalla Youth Girls played at home versus Moruya. They started really strongly and held Moruya well. The ground was wet and heavy due to recent rain.
The back line of Krystal, Eleni, Sarah and Anya turned Moruya away many times and enabled the Narooma team to go forward and score first with a great goal from Elizabeth Halsey.
Moruya are a strong side and managed to score a couple of times before half time. Moruya led 3 - 1 and looked to be taking control of the game.
After the break Moruya came out fighting and scored two more goals before Narooma regathered and scored another great goal through Shae French.
The NSSC Player of the match and goal keeper India Takacs had an excellent game with several fantastic saves.
Once again we were finishing strongly and the whole team played well. They looked really smart in their new lime green jerseys. Thanks to Nicky for all her work to get our team together and looking really smart. (Go the green machine!)
