This was judged from 5000 students at Melbourne Polytechnic and out of the finalists she beat Amanda Camilleri, who has been working on the TV show "The Block".
Jyothi works at Georgies Fine Jewellery in Narooma and was also recently named one of 25 competitors comprising the Skillaroos team – a talented group of the trades and skills apprentices, trainees and students who will represent their country at the 43rd WorldSkills Competition in Brazil this August.
“It is such an honour to represent Australia in São Paulo as a 2015 Skillaroo,” she said.
“It is going to be an incredible experience to compete for my country alongside Australia’s most talented young tradespeople.”
The WorldSkills Competition occurs every two years and is the biggest vocational education and skills showcase in the world.
