As a rational, sceptic I do not really believe in the whole alien explanation and it was probably some atmospheric phenomenon but more likely local kids or kids at heart having some fun.
And it was all a bit of fun and no doubt captured your attention!
What is real and scientifically evident is climate change that is affecting us in various ways.
Next to the crop circles on the front page is a yarn about all the weird and normally tropical species that seem to be turning up in our waters.
As a keen winter swimmer and fisherman, I also know first-hand the water is seemingly getting warmer.
Even if these things are supposed to happen in small incremental steps, it seems to be happening right here and right now.
Similarly, the tides do seem to be getting bigger, which means that council and all planners are doing the right thing by planning for the future.
Even if you don’t like the idea of the damming Wagonga Inlet with a big dyke, we can’t just sit back with our heads in the sand - well maybe we can, but future generations are counting on us not to!
Finally have a safe and enjoyable long weekend and take advantage of all the activities and events happening around the district.
