Residents also no doubt have varying views on the real impact of sea level rise on low-lying areas such as the Narooma Flat.
Residents that have strong feelings that council’s consultants are overstating things have hopefully had their views heard and this will result in a more accurate flood study.
The related story about the drainage infrastructure improvements going in on the Flat is good news and should mean a repeat of McMillan Road and adjacent streets going under is far less likely.
Moving on to something lighter, we hear that the boys from the Narooma AFL Lions had a bit difficulty getting Baby Jake the steer into a float and on his way to Smyth Oval for the family fun day on Sunday.
Apparently, he put up a good fight and even jumped out of the float at one point.
Just as well they are not called the Narooma AFL Cowboys!
