Narooma Redbacks Youth Girls Preliminary Final
Narooma 0 vs Clyde 2
THE Narooma Redbacks Youth Girls bowed out of the finals on Sunday, after going down to Clyde in a close game.
The girls had their work cut out for them against the Clyde team, who have had the upper hand over Narooma for most of the season.
The Narooma girls didn’t make life easy for Clyde however, playing hard and giving it their all. In hot conditions Narooma closed down Clyde again and again, as well as having some great shots on goal.
Luck wasn’t on Narooma’s side though, and the final score saw the end of the girls’ season. The Narooma girls should be congratulated on their sportsmanship not just in this game, but throughout the season.
They have been a pleasure to coach, showing commitment and working hard, but above all encouraging each other and playing as a team.
Congratulations go to: Emma Bunney, Erika Quinn, Sarah Hollis, Sabine Kildea, Bethany Loiterton, Abby Stokes, Zoe Williams, Amey Middlemiss, Kayla Middlemiss, Chloe Nicholson, Elizabeth Halsey, Renee Lavis, Maddy Carruthers, Kyree Trindall and Niamh Armstrong.
Special thanks go to our team sponsor Bill Quinn from Overheard Productions. Hopefully we’ll see everyone back next season.
Narooma Redbacks U13s
The Narooma Redback U13s are the only team left in the grand finals to be played at Dalmeny this weekend. Their coach Nigel Jackson is extremely proud of the team and wanted to wish them good luck.
“Get along to support the Narooma Redbacks U13 soccer team – the only team that will be representing Narooma in this Sunday’s grand finals,” he said.
