The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, was just about to jump under the shower when a NSW Lotteries official contacted her this morning to break the dream-come-true news that she was $1 million richer!
“You have to be joking!” the winner exclaimed.
“One million dollars – oh my goodness! I think I’m about to cry!
“I’ve been taking Lotto entries since day one – this is amazing. I’ll have to think about what I’ll do with my prize money but I know that Christmas will be very merry this year!” the excited grandmother added.
The winning 14-game marked entry was purchased from Narooma Plaza Sub-newsagency, Shop 11 in Narooma Plaza, Princes Highway in Narooma.
Narooma Plaza Sub-newsagency manager Kate Bradford was stoked to find out she sold the winning $1 million ticket to one of her regulars.
She put up a poster congratulating the winner on behalf of herself, the staff and Bill from the Narooma Newsagency.
Throughout Australia, it was the only entry that won a first division prize in Wednesday Lotto draw 3473, which offers a guaranteed division one prize of $1 million for up to four winners in each draw.
The winning numbers in Wednesday Lotto draw 3473 on Wednesday 29 July 2015 were 35, 44, 19, 29, 9 and 41, with the supplementary numbers 43 and 2.
