NIGHT OUT: It was a night out at Bodalla Bowling Club on Friday for Joy Wardle of Potato Point and Viv White of Bodalla.

OUT CELEBRATING: Sylvia Bond and Juha Turtiainen of proprietors of Moruya’s Turbond Traders celebrated their last day in business at the BAH Music Festival at the Bodalla Arms Hotel on Saturday night.

QUARTERDECK DINERS: Having lunch at the Quarterdeck Restaurant on Friday are Mike and Dianne Wiggins from Tuross Head and Nola and Tony Cuddy from Melbourne.

ROXY’S LUNCH: Enjoying lunch out on the Roxy’s Café deck at the Narooma Plaza are Nathan with Kim Abdou and Mia Johnston.

WORKABILITY CREW: Participants in the Workability Moruya Day Options program Keeden, Mark, Miranda, David and Tracey visited Narooma on Friday and had a delicious lunch at Roxy’s Café at the Narooma Plaza.

CORUNNA SALMON: Jackson Wood of Tilba with a salmon caught at Corunna Point. The opening of Corunna Lake after recent rain has so far been a little disappointing with the significant tidal flows in and out the lake not happening as much as anglers would have liked.

FIRST SALMON: Regular Narooma area visitor Ron Bakos last week took his partner Denise Hunt of Yass fishing, finding a nice gutter on Tuross  beach where she picked up her first ever salmon. She got a pigeon pair and was delighted.

FROZEN TROUT: Last week in zero-degree conditions, Luke Macintyre caught the best catch of a 1.5kg, 2kg and 3kg brown trout at Providence Portal in Lake Eucumbene. He even out-fished old pro Joe Zappa! The fish were caught on Narooma scrub worms of the bank. No fish at night, only late afternoon and early morning. 

JOURNO CATCH: Narooma News journalist Stan Gorton got this little snapper on the very first drop of his micro jig at 4-Mile Reef, Bermagui on Saturday morning. He then switched to chasing sand and tiger flathead off Camel Rock when the wind came up.

NAROOMA BOWLS CHAMPS: Runners up Kerry Ferguson (skip), Barbara McNamara and Sue Bender congratulate the winners of the Narooma Women’s Bowling Triples Championship Leila Gosper (skip), Marilyn Thomson and Shirley Pilgrim.
