NAROOMA Devil Clint Wright scooped the Group 16 first grade best and fairest award at the presentation night at the Moruya Golf Club on August 7.

In front of about 150 people, Wright collected the award with 18 votes, ahead of Eden's John Aldridge (17) and Bega's James Bower-Scott (14).
Wright thanked his team mates for a fun season, despite results not going Narooma's way and dedicated the award to his late grand father.
Eden's Joe Stewart and Jack Nicholson tied with Wright for the top try-scorer award with 15.
Cooma's Mitchell Hynes was the top points scorer on 162.
Batemans Bay's Joey Brierley was tied with Candelo-Bemboka's Grant Moon and Moruya's Gavin Olive on nine points before the final round in the reserve grade best and fairest count.
Brierley earned a single vote in the final round to win the award.
Brierley praised his team mates for their resurgence during the second half of the season and thanked coaches Seth Merritt and John Boller.
Moruya's Justin Zutt and Bega's Wayne Northey shared reserve grade's top try-scorer award with 10 and Moruya's Craig Cottington was the top points scorer.
Bombala High Heelers captain Maree Coates trailed for much of the count but earned five votes in the final two rounds to win the women's league tag player of the year on 25 points, ahead of Bega's Joccoaa Rogers and Narooma's Lily-Rose Bennett.
Narooma's Jamie-Anne Wright was the top points scorer and Bennett shared the top try-scorer with team mate Remi Wilton.
The under 18s best and fairest was Bega's Connor Carr on 15 votes.
Bega's Declan Bower-Scott and Cooma's Tyler Jones shared the top try-scorer award with 13 and Bayden Pilbeam was the top points scorer.
Merimbula-Pambula's Victor Halfpenny took out the rookie of the year award, Ack Weyman was the volunteer of the year, Eden's Michael Wykes was the coach of the season, Ryan Apps was the representative player of the year and Luke Ingram was the junior representative player of the year.
Special guest Michael Weyman spoke of his time at Canberra, St George-Illawarra under coaches Wayne Bennett and Steve Price, his time in England and his return to the South Coast.
He said he missed the professionals he played with as they were "family" but he said also shares a similar bond with the Moruya Sharks.
