I hope the sharks aren’t in tune with the news because surely they are in dangerous waters with that kind of “sharkma” – that’s like karma except relating specifically to sharks and you lose points for saying that kind of stuff about culling or even eating flake!
Anyway, rather than this redneck, boorish attitude, we do need more science and research and that’s why I was excited to find out about the acoustic curtain of receivers monitoring all tagged fish swimming between Montague Island the mainland.
We need more science to try and understand sharks and the marine environment rather than just saying “kill, kill, kill” – we are in their environment after all!
Now moving on to the sad news that the Narooma Blues Festival after this year will be gone as we know it.
The good news is that Neil Mumme still wants to offer some form of music festival next year, although it likely won’t be over multiple days and stay tuned to what genre of music.
If you have loved the Blues over the years, take advantage of the special package currently being offered and see on the oval on Sunday…
Finally, next time you are in fancy restaurant in Hong Kong, Singapore or China, make sure to ask for Sydney rock oysters from Wagonga Inlet, as they should be available thanks to new marketing efforts.
