The Narooma/Bodalla girls started the game really well and you could see they wanted to take the game to Broulee. Six minutes in and Lateisha Stewart scored a fantastic goal after some great work by all the team. Broulee struck back shortly after evening the score.
The girls kept attacking and we managed another goal through Elizabeth Halsey who put us in front. Broulee struck back again and we knew we had a game on our hands. The game was very intense and both sides never gave up. The Narooma Bodalla girls have grown in confidence and are a team to be watched in the future. It was a nail biting finish and it went down to the wire. Final score Narooma/Bodalla 3 - Broulee 2.
Broulee have played really well this year. They have struggled to put a team together each week but have still turned up and stuck to their opposition each and every game. To their coach Hugh and all the girls, we wish them well and look forward to meeting them again next year.
Elizabeth Halsey played a great game today landing 2 goals taking her tally to 8 so far. All the girls stood up today and should be proud of their achievements.
Next Sunday we take on Clyde United at their home ground Surfside, in the preliminary final.
We wish them well. Go the Lime Green Mean Machine.
