Written under the pen name Ray Field, the book has the tag line: “How to stop feeling bad and be who you really are”.
Andrew works at Narooma at Campbell Page and has had a life-long interest in the human condition and human potential.
He has been involved in personal explorations, professional work, and formal study in this field over a period of four decades.
He has a background in teaching at primary, secondary and tertiary levels, and in advisory and leadership roles relating to shifts in educational theory, policy and practice.
These roles and investigations have included doctoral research into the nature of human learning, knowledge and intelligence, and the need for a new paradigm for the education of human beings.
He has written extensively in this field in journals, magazines and books.
In 2010, he wrote a book he titled, "Deep Intelligence: Giving Our Young the Education They Really Need".
“Most people find that peace and contentment remain elusive all their lives,” Andrew said.
“This is because most of our thoughts, beliefs, desires and behaviours are programmed into us. They are learned. They don’t arise from who we really are inside. Who we really are gets covered over by conditioning like a blanket.
“It is so satisfying to break out of the bondage of conditioning and find our true self.
“But most of the books I have read about how we lose ourselves in conditioning are very difficult reading, and short on advice on what we can do about it.
“So early this year I decided to write a book about shedding our conditioning that is short, easy to read, inspiring and practical.”
