The council applied for $2.54 million from the federal government to expand the airport’s commercial space.
If successful the funding must be matched by the council.
The council also applied for $4.6 million from the NSW Government to install water, sewer, electricity and road access for the tourism accommodation precinct, upgrade runways and expand aircraft parking.
Successful recipients for both programs should be announced in December.
