The Seahorse Ball bonanza

THE Seahorse Ball went off with a blast on Friday night at the Narooma Golf Club.

Guests were welcomed on red carpet to the Bluewater Room dressed to perfection with a ‘black, white and bling’ theme featuring unique branch centrepieces that sparkled with candle light and crystals.

The jazz sound during the meal was great with Tony and Ann Lang starting the first dance. The dance floor was soon full with people enjoying the band and kicking up their heals

The food was excellent from Michael Stokes and team with generous antipasto entrée, including homemade salami, risotto balls and home baked breads.

The mains were just as tantalising with the guests finding it hard to choose a winner between the eye fillet steak and the Michelangelo’s breast.

Some more dancing then the dessert arrived and the baby Josephine poached pears were delicious as was the sticky orange cake… there were a few chocolate dipped strawberries too!

The band stepped it up a notch with some rock and 90s hits and the party really got going. The guests clearly appreciated such a great band like The Spindrift Saga to dance the night away.

The event was well patronised and everyone got into the theme dressing in suits and cocktail dresses with some of the visitors going all the way in amazing full ball gowns.

The ball was a huge success and the golf club would like to make the Seahorse Ball an annual Spring event for Narooma.
