After morning tea, Maggie led them along Tebbs Rd for about 1.5km to the track that goes down to Olsons Creek.
The beautiful track goes into largely untouched bush with a creek bursting and bubbling along because of the earlier rain. After gentle climb out of this unusual rainforest type area, the walkers came across a ridge trail which shows old and strange markings on the ground before it meets up with Engine Road.
They then followed Scenic Drive back to Punkalla Bridge for lunch. The small group thanked Maggie for leading this most enjoyable 10km bushwalk through an area that appears to be isolated, yet so close to Narooma.
Future walks include Spring Creek, near Dalmeny, Congo and the Eurobodalla National Park which has no known bush trails, and Bogola Head with its old home sites that show the foundations, dams and fruit trees in the back or side yards.
All members past and present are reminded that the 30th anniversary is in May next year and president Kerren Ogg has started planning for this event.
