Bike are car collide
SNOWY Hydro Helicopter was tasked to Narooma on Monday evening to transport an injured motor cycle rider to hospital. The bike rider was in a collision with a sedan of Bluewater Drive Narooma. Ambulance conveyed the injured rider to Bill Smyth Oval where the Snowy Hydro helicopter conveyed the rider who had sustained orthopaedic and abdominal injuries to The Canberra Hospital. Reports say that the man has now been moved from ICU to a ward. No other details are available.
Altered plates bust
ON Wednesday last week a 19-year-old local man was issued with an infringement notice for having altered number plates on his vehicle.
The vehicle was known to police and an officer noticed that one character on the plate was different.
Agro loiterer
AROUND 8.30am on Sunday an intoxicated man was seen loitering around a hotel in Narooma. The man became aggressive when he was confronted by a hotel staff member. The drunken man assaulted the other man before dashing off up Tilba Street. Although no injuries were sustained police are investigating the incident.
Butcher break in
ON Thursday last week a meat supply store in Bermagui was broken into via a rear security door.
Cash and meat were stolen and police are investigating the robbery.
Stolen goods displayed balcony
A WOMAN who had property stolen from her Narooma garden last July has spotted her wares at someone else’s residence. The woman saw her garden lights and a pot plant on a balcony on Tilba Street.
Police were notified and the occupant has been charged with stealing.
The goods have been returned to the rightful owner.
Tilba School break in
BETWEEN Friday and Monday, September 14 and 17, two sheds were broken into at Central Tilba Public School. Sporting equipment including a trampoline was taken outside and paint was spilt on the quadrangle.
A Koori flag and two tins of petrol were stolen.
Killer threats
AT 8pm on Sunday night police were alerted to a man being aggressive and threatening to kill people. Police located the man in a North Narooma building site. He was found to have an outstanding warrant for a previous matter. Police charged the 38-year-old Forbes Creek man and he has been taken to Batemans Bay.
L-plater busted
AT midnight on Saturday, police received a number of complaints about a vehicle being driven around with people yelling out the window. Police found and stopped the vehicle on Riverside Drive. The local female driver was found to be a L-plater who was not accompanied by a licenced driver. The woman was breath tested and provided a positive result and charged with low range PCA.
Lemon stolen
A MYER lemon tree at the Cobargo Co-op was stolen on Friday, September 14. The plant was unhealthy and had been banished to the sick bay.
Perhaps the robber wanted to nurse the lemon of a lemon back to health.
High range PCA
POLICE stopped a vehicle in Lamont Street, Bermagui at 5.30pm on Wednesday, September 19 for a random breath test.
The Bermagui man blew .157 and was charged with high range PCA.
Letterbox stolen
A YELLOW powder-coated letterbox was stolen from Tathra-Bermagui Road overnight on Thursday, September 13.
