Bithry Inlet photo shoot

MEMBERS of the Narooma Camera Club recently participated in a photo shoot at Bithry Inlet in Mimosa Rocks National Park. The event was a competition convened by Friends of Bithry Inlet to showcase the beauty of this area.

The Penders property, at Bithry was donated to National Parks by Sir Roy Grounds and Ken Myer. It is a spectacular piece of coastline with Spotted Gum forest and Burrawang understory.

It was a cold day and despite the intermittent rain, the group were rewarded with a brief window of sunlight which allowed them to get some brilliant shots, which were then submitted for judging.

The winner of the competition, Alison Philip was delighted to have her photo chosen as the winning entry.

A copy of "Remote and Wild" by Richard Green, the leading photographer, was her prize. This book was donated by the author to Friends of Bithry Inlet as a gesture of support in protection of this iconic landscape.
