Bermagui Country Club week of golf

A LARGE number of men, ladies and junior players from a wide area in NSW and interstate have just enjoyed a fantastic “Week of Golf” at Bermagui Country Club. The hugely successful event started with the Ladies Open on September 15 and 16 and concluded with the Men’s Open on Saturday and Sunday, September 22 and 23. We had 33 different golf clubs represented and the daily competitions were well supported by record field numbers and sponsors.

The weather was excellent and the Bermagui Course was in top shape for the golfers and everyone seemed to have a great time both out on the course and at the presentation times in the clubhouse.

The Men’s 36 hole Open was won by Mitchell Venables of Bankstown Golf Club playing off a handicap of scratch with an amazing score of 139. Runner up on a score of 143 was Aaron Shearing of Murrumbidgee Golf Club also playing off scratch.

Bermagui Country Club Golf committees extend a big “thank you” to all of the sponsors for the Week of Golf – we appreciate the support provided for this annual event and hope we can maintain our relationship.
