THE newly elected Eurobodalla Shire Council has duly elected Clr Peter Schwartz to the position of deputy mayor at its first meeting held in Moruya this morning.

Afirst time councillor, Clr Schwartz said he felt privileged and honoured to serve the Eurobodalla community and that he will endeavour to make a positive change on the council in the position of Deputy Mayor. "I would like to see this organisation have a 'can do' attitude, to help rather than to hinder the community's aspirations," Clr Schwartz said.
Peter Schwartz from the ERA was nominated by Rob Pollock and Fergus Thomson nominated Gaby Harding with Peter Schwartz winning the vote five to three.
