Quota grant available for art students

QUOTA International of Narooma reminds Year 11 students of the club’s $750 scholarship for their Year 12 major work in Fine and Applied Arts.

“The purpose of the scholarship is to assist a student with the costs incurred in completing his or her major work next year,” chairperson of Quota’s Fine and Applied Arts committee Carol Mead said. “If you are a student in music, drama, art, photography, design and technology (wood, metal or textiles), then you should apply.”

“Our members have been amazed by the expertise and dedication shown in previous years by Narooma High students,” she said. “We know that this year will be no exception, so don’t be shy.”

Students can obtain an application form from the Narooma High School office or check with their subject teacher. Applications close on Wednesday, November 7 and interviews are on Wednesday, November 21 at the high school.

The Fine and Applied Arts Scholarship will be presented to the winner at the 2012 Narooma High School Presentation Day.
