Twelve members of the team joined a group of over 80 paddlers as part of the Mallacoota Marathon, an annual social event for dragon boat clubs on the coast.
"It was a fantastic day on the water in an absolutely stunning part of the world," club captain Julie Melville said.
"The team did really well in conditions which started out beautifully but became challenging with some high winds and choppy waves towards the end of the day.
"This was the fourth year that the marathon has been run and the event just keeps getting better - we'd really like to acknowledge the fantastic organisation and coordination provided by Pat and Charles Helmore and their team. We'd also like to thank the partners of our paddlers, many of whom operate as support crew, providing indispensable logistical backup."
During the journey from Gypsy Point to Mallacoota township teams in four dragon boats had to hunt down and find a series of treasure hunt clues and take part in a 'boat scramble' where 350 coloured balls were released into a cove and had to be trapped and picked up by the crews.
"The Marathon is a perfect expression of our club motto - Looking Good and Having Fun!" said Julie.
"The chance to join in and be part of these kind of activities is attracting more and more members to our club. If anyone would like to come along and try dragon boating or get some information about the sport they can join us down at our boathouse next door to the Quarterdeck on Riverside Drive on Saturday mornings at 8.30 a.m. Everyone is welcome!"
