Batemans Bay detectives and Queanbeyan forensic police are investigating the cause of a serious road accident at Tuross Head on April 27. A 45-year-old Nambucca Heads man was treated at the scene by paramedics before being airlifted to The Canberra Hospital with arm, wrist, abdomen, chest and back injuries. On Tuesday, May 3 he remained in hospital in a stable condition.

A Far South Coast Local Area Command police spokesman said a 71-year-old Tuross Head man in a Kia Sorrento turned right from Hector McWilliam Drive onto the Princes Highway, into the path of the Nambucca man riding south on a Harley Davidson motorcycle. High rangers – A 38-year-old local man was charged with high-range drink driving after being stopped at Tilba at 8.10pm on Wednesday, April 27. A 26-year-old Bermagui man was also charged with high-range drink driving after being stopped on Conargo Street at 5pm on Saturday. Highway patrol also conducted mobile drug testing in Narooma on April 27.
90-degree parking – The driver of a Ford Falcon parked at 90 degrees on Princes Highway on The Flat Narooma, blocking half the northbound lane, was left a parking ticket.
Television stolen – Unknown persons broke into a house on O’Connells Point Road, Beauty Point sometime before Sunday, stealing a large television.
Tyres damaged – Someone damaged three tyres of a vehicle parked on McMillan Road, Narooma between 5.40pm and 8.30pm on April 27. Anyone with information, should contact Narooma police on 4476 2044 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Doors damaged – A 31-year-old local man was charged malicious damage after he allegedly damaged the front door of a Narooma hotel on Anzac Day, April 25.
Fail to stop – Police are looking for the driver of a tray-back utility that reversed into a white Lancer at the Dalmeny shopping centre at 11.30am on April 25 and drove off without leaving any details. Any information should be reported to local police.
