The Montague Arts and Crafts Society on Saturday celebrated taking over the Narooma Visitor Information Centre with an official opening.

A crowd numbered of around 100 enjoyed the traditional dance of the Djiringanj Dancers and the songs performed by Narooma Community Choir. There was face painting by Adele, the Narooma Men's Shed did a sausage sizzle, while members of the Narooma RFS brigade also attended.
Mayor Lindsay Brown was joined by Eurobodalla Shire Council tourism staff Catherine Reilly and Kerrie-Anne Benton.
MACS visitor centre committee member Judy Glover was the MC of the ceremony and thanked the hard working MACS visitor centre team, chaired by Christine Macauley AM. Society president Irene Berry gave a warm acceptance speech on behalf of all MACS members, and thanked the council staff members for their great help with the change over.
