- $1.75 million to construct a left-turn lane from the Princes Highway into Durras Drive at Benandarah;
- $1.6 million to continue planning for the bridge over Clyde River at Batemans Bay;
- $1.5 million to continue planning for the Nelligen Bridge on the Kings Highway.
- $15 million to start construction on the realignment of the Princes Highway at Dignams Creek.
Bega MP Andrew Constance welcomed the funding
"We have seen far too many fatalities on our roads over the years - in particular on the Princes Highway,” Mr Constance said.
"This government has made it a priority to get on with the necessary upgrades to boost safety, and I'm delighted to confirm $15 million in this year's Budget to start construction on the realignment at Dignams Creek.
"This is an upgrade that has been a long time coming, but we now have money in the Budget to start the work.
"We're also continuing to plan for other road upgrades including the Nelligen Bridge and the bridge over Clyde River at Batemans Bay.
"The NSW Government is investing at record levels on roads in regional NSW and the Bega electorate is seeing the benefits."
Meanwhile, a re-elected Federal Coalition Government would spend $9 million upgrading intersections in the north of the shire, at Tomakin, at Beach Road in Batemans Bay and in Perry St, Batemans Bay, Federal Major Projects and Local Government Minister Paul Fletcher said.
