TWO Bodalla businesses have been named as finalists in the highly contested 2012 NSW Tourism Awards, the Bodalla Dairy Cheese Factory and Beachcomber Holiday Park at Potato Point.
Hundreds of tourism businesses across the state entered the annual competition with hopes of winning one of the 31 categories, ranging from Major Tourism Attractions right through to Ecotourism and the new Local Government Award for Tourism.
Now in its 23rd year, and proudly supported by Destination NSW, the NSW Tourism Awards honour those in the tourism industry, a sector that accounts for one in every 21 jobs in NSW and contributes $30.5 billion per year to the NSW economy.
The awards have 31 categories across the industry spectrum – attractions, festivals and events, ecotourism, tour and transport operators, marketing and accommodation and outstanding contribution from individuals.
The NSW Tourism Awards ceremony is on Thursday, November 22 at Le Montage, Sydney.
