The Narooma Sporting and Services Club has provided $1000 towards a fantastic group of special education students from Narooma High School, allowing them to compete at a state level.

The Narooma High School Boccia team competed earlier this month at the state titles and came 7th out of 70 schools.
“This is such an amazing achievement, the students were great ambassadors for our school and they are looking forward to competing again next year,” teacher Kylie Thomas said.
The Narooma competitors trained on the greens at Club Dalmeny and three of them were inspired to compete at the NSW Public School Special Education Boccia Knockout Competition held at Batemans Bay.
Boccia is a Paralympic sport that all people of all abilities to compete at the same level.
The Narooma students won at the regional level, qualifying them for the grand final at Homebush Olympic Park in Sydney, where they finished seventh.
“Their next sporting event is a mini Olympics in Wollongong. Club Narooma's donation will make this excursion available to all of our students,” Ms Thomas said.
