From there we drove to South Durras for morning tea overlooking Cookies Beach before exploring the rocks around Wasp Head.
We saw blocks of granite which appeared to have been dropped by the melting ice flows of the times. Other types of rock formations, looking like honeycomb sandstone and box like patterns of ironstone, were explained by Jan Smith with many interesting questions raised by the keen bushwalkers who wanted a better understanding of this beautiful area. From there it was on to Myrtle Beach for more examples. After this we saw another tall spotted gum tree, before returning to our cars and thanking Wendy Selby and Jan Smith for the wander around this lovely area.
On Saturday we walked in Gulaga National Park from Dignams Hill down to the properties on the southern shore of Dignams Creek.
We enjoyed the farms and looking at the remains of old timber mills, before returning to our cars and thanking Kerren Ogg for the beautiful walk.
