Long paddles are a good opportunity to focus on endurance training and fine tune our paddling technique. The longer paddles will help those club members planning to participate in the 2km races at regattas this summer. As well as improving your fitness and having fun, dragon boating is a great way to enjoy our beautiful waterways and natural surroundings. Whilst the paddlers are always on the lookout for marine life as we make our way around the inlet, Saturday’s nature highlight was two adult sea eagles perched high close to the water’s edge squawking energetically as they do in the springtime…
If you would like to have a go at dragon boating and explore our spectacular waterways, pop down to the club’s boat shed (situated next to the Quarterdeck Café) on Saturdays at 8.30am or Tuesdays at 1.30pm.
