Narooma has been named on a list of the most “irresistible, exotic, historic and postcard-worthy small towns in Australia.”
The travel website, Discount My Flights has named our coastal paradise in its top 50 small towns.
The website praised Narooma’s “beautiful temperate climate, turquoise waters, glorious beaches, walkable boardwalk, sea life, nearby Montague Island and Tilba Tilba Village”.
And while we’re talking about our beautiful beaches, the shark net at Narooma’s Bar Beach will be reinstalled next Tuesday (27 September), ready for the summer swimming season.
The net was removed in May for its annual maintenance check and repairs.
After new floats are attached, the net will be towed into the water and secured in place by the divers.
