The expo goes from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday and features paintings, woodwork, jewellery, textiles and work by the Men’s Shed, as well as mini workshops and demos. Call 4476 2881 for more information.
“If you're in town this weekend, there's plenty to see and do on offer. First stop could be the MACS Cottage Industry Expo at the Sport and Recreation Centre by the roundabout. Handcrafted goodies by local artists, who will also be demonstrating their craft to visitors are well worth a visit,” organiser Kris Macauley AM said.
“Pop into the Narooma Visitor Centre and MACS friendly staff can give you a range of activities and things to do over the long weekend. Work out your plan for the weekend so that you don't miss any of it!”
There will be more art and craft at the inaugural Mystery Bay art and craft trail is taking place this long weekend Saturday and Sunday October 1-2. Artists and crafters from the community will be opening the doors of their houses and workshops to show and sell their creations.
Simply drive through Mystery Bay and look for the balloons outside the participating houses. Come and check out all the great creations from 10am to 3pm.
Then there is the annual South Coast Knife Show is on again on Sunday, October 2 from 10am to 4pm at the main hall Central Tilba. Come and see the beautiful, practical and varied art that is knifemaking in all its forms and meet, chat and buy from the makers themselves.
Local and interstate makers will there with all manner of kitchen knives and cleavers, hunting and fishing knives, axes, knifemaking and blacksmithing supplies, materials and tools. Find “South Coast Knife Show” on Facebook or call 0401 004 481.
Narooma will be a hive of activity with the “Slightly Twisted Long Weekend” of music and art also happening at the Narooma Golf Club and Narooma Kinema.
It kicks off with a Vintage Vinyl Night on Friday night at the golf club, followed by the “Art Is” talks at the Kinema on Saturday night and then the big Backsliders gig at the golf club on Sunday.
