Rural fire fighters from Mallacoota, Wonboyn Lake, Eden and Pambula are responding to several bush fires near Mallacoota tonight.
Country Fire Association Victoria website states a four hectare fire is out of control at Gypsy Point nine kilometres west of Mallacoota, a .30 hectare is also out of control at Benedore River, 19 kilometres south west of Mallacoota.
The Mallacoota-Genoa Road, which connects Mallacoota to the Princes Highway has been closed in both directions due to low visability from smoke.
A third fire four hectares in size is being contained 30 kilometres east of Orbost.
