The reservoir on Nutleys Creek Road is part of Bega Valley Shire Council’s long-term water strategy, providing added water security to the Bermagui area and improving water pressures in the township.
Council’s manager of water and sewerage services, Jim Collins said the new reservoir would lead to the decommissioning of five aging reservoirs and one water pumping station in the Bermagui area.
Mr Collins said the Nutleys Creek Reservoir Project was on schedule, and weather permitting, the construction phase would be finished by Easter 2017.
