Thursday, February 16: A good field of 144 players enjoyed sunny but windy conditions to play to a DSR of 71/72 and register good scores. In A Grade, Mark Anderson scored 41 points off his handicap of 10, to win by one shot from two golfers in fine form, Paul Lefel and Phil Haynes. B Grade winner was Peter O'Kane, who again played well to register 42 points off his handicap of 16. Two shots back on 40 points were Robert Hindmarsh and Richard Porter, with Ray Gale missing out on countback. In C Grade, Ian Harris had the highest score of the day with 43 points off his handicap of 20, to win easily from five players on 38 points; Lionel Field was second and Robert Brown third on countback. Unlucky were Len Daley, of Cromer; Philippe Hickel, of Croa, and Grahame Cooke. NTP: Mattias Larsson, of Wodonga, 3; David Hayward, 9; a delighted Anton Galloway, 14; Chris Goldsmith, 17, with the ball competition going down to all on 34 points.

Saturday, February 18: 124 players contested the first round of the Stableford competition where the DSR was a consistent 71 in varying weather conditions. In A Grade, Steve Marsden had his best round for a while to register 41 points off his handicap of nine to win by three shots from Robert Ackling and Mark Elmasri. In B Grade, Michael Wuttke-Hayes returned to the winning circle with 41 points off a handicap of 15 to win by one shot from a resurgent Michael Commins and two from Colin O'Sullivan. In C Grade, Trevor Breust recorded 40 points on his handicap of 23 to win by one shot from Frank Clarke, who relegated Phillip Johnson to third on countback. Nearest-the-pin winners were Gary Schmidt on 3, Paul Davey on 9, Greg Riley on 14 and Terry O'Callaghan on 17, while the ball competition went down to all on 34 points.

Thursday, February 16: A field of 61 players hit off in a par event. A grade had a clear winner with Denis Myers coming home with plus 3 off 15 handicap. Next up after countback was Derek Quinto (hcp 11) square with the card and in third spot was John Moore (hcp 15), of Shepparton GC, also on square. B grade winner was Arnold Watson (hcp 18) with plus 4. Second was Graeme Gunn (hcp 16) with plus 2 and third after countback in B grade was Bob Shearing (hcp 20), on plus 2. C grade winner was Neil Brown, with plus 2 off 28 handicap. Second was Peter Hanks (hcp 23) with plus 1 and third was Peti Fereti (hcp 31) square with the card. NTP: 6th Harry Cripps, 8th Geoff Bell, 11th Denis Myers and 15th Peter Hanks.
Saturday, February 18: 53 players contested a Stableford competition with good scores recorded. First in A grade was Nathan Batten, scoring a creditable 43 points off 1 handicap. Runner up was Julian Smith (hcp 11), of Commonwealth GC, returning with a not-too-shabby 42 points. B grade winner was Shane Roberts (hcp 19) on 39. Second was Rob Gammage (hcp 18) with 36. Greg Cummins (hcp 22) was the C grade winner with 37 points and second was new member Paul Hanks (hcp 26) with 34. NTP: 6th Shane Roberts, 8th Ross Allan, 11th Evan Heller and 15th Greg Cummins.
